Dragon Tail is an Australian native plant that is mainly grown indoors. In the wild Dragon Tail grows on the forest floor of the tropical and subtropical rainforests of the Solomon Island rainforest.
 
To grow Dragon Tail in your home, give it a warm humid environment. There are two types of dragon tail leaves: variegated (with white/green greens) and non-vividated (with dark green glossy leaves). When the dragon tail is young, it will have elongated oval leaves. As it grows older, the older leaves will split into 3 sections, similar to the tip of the dragon’s tail.
